Pupil Premium

Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.


As defined on the GOV.UK website, Pupil premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.


2016-17 Pupil Premium Funding:

  • £1,320 for primary-aged pupils (Reception to Year 6)
  • £935 for secondary-aged pupils (Year 7 to Year 11)
  • £1,900 for each pupil who has left local authority care because of one of the following:
    • adoption
    • a special guardianship order
    • a child arrangements order
    • a residence order


For the financial year 2015-16 First Base Ipswich received Pupil Premium from mainstream schools to the value of £1,985.
